NDIS Quality Support for Children (guidance). Edition held: Quality support for children in the NDIS, DA0855, August 2024 (guidance, not a rule); checked current on 1 October 2026 (our build record of the held copy; the October 2024 copy carries the same text).

Working with children checks: Working with children checks are state and territory law, which this list does not cover. Whether a worker needs one, and the exemptions, are set by each state: Queensland, for example, exempts registered health practitioners acting in their professional capacity in specified circumstances. See the state laws page. NDIS worker screening is a separate clearance under the NDIS rules.

P-4Use evidence-informed practice (family input, the best available research and professional expertise); explain what the provider is and is not qualified to do and refer on when needs fall outside it; with consent, work with the rest of the child's team; supervise and train staff. Providers never work without the right qualifications and experience, never use a professional title without the relevant registration, and never make unreasonable claims about the benefits of their supports.

Completing this worksheet records what your practice holds and where. It does not make a practice compliant or ready for audit, and it is not legal advice.
