10.1In teaching and supervising roles, good practice means the practitioner: (a) builds the skills, attitudes and habits of an effective and culturally safe teacher or supervisor; (b) as supervisor, recognises that supervisory responsibility cannot be transferred; (c) makes sure anyone completing supervised practice gets effective oversight and feedback; and (d) avoids conflicts of interest in teaching or supervision that may impair objectivity or harm the learner's outcomes or experience, for example by not supervising someone with whom they have a prior non-professional relationship.
