| 9.1 | Professional behaviour means the psychologist: (a) gets expert, independent and objective advice when they need healthcare and understands the dangers of diagnosing and treating themselves; (b) understands why immunisation against communicable diseases matters and takes reasonable, effective steps to stop their spread; (c) recognises how psychological risk factors in their work and personal life affect their health and their capacity to serve clients; and (d) does not rely on their own judgement of the risk they pose if they know or suspect that an impairment or health condition could affect their judgement, performance or clients' wellbeing, and instead (i) consults a medical or other practitioner about whether and how to change their practice and follows that treating practitioner's advice, and (ii) remembers their National Law duty to notify the Board or Ahpra about certain impairments. Completing this worksheet records what your practice holds and where. It does not make a practice compliant or ready for audit, and it is not legal advice.
