NDIS requirements for a speech pathology practice
Speech pathology is not one of the professions registered under the National Law; it is self-regulated through its professional association. The Ahpra code, the National Law and Board standards do not apply to it. If the practice is a registered NDIS provider, the NDIS rules below apply to speech pathology supports exactly as to any other profession.
A speech-pathology-only practice that is not an NDIS provider gets this statement and nothing else from this list: no Ahpra line applies to it. An unregistered NDIS provider is bound by the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Privacy, for every practice
The Privacy Act applies to the practice whatever its turnover: a health service provider that holds health information is not a small business operator (s 6D(4)(b)). The privacy pages below apply to every profession, NDIS registered or not.
