Psychologists deliver services so that all of society gains the most from them. Effective practice means the psychologist: (a) makes sure the services they provide are appropriate and needed; (b) upholds clients' right to the level of service they need and, where possible, helps them get it; (c) supports open and fair allocation of services; and (d) understands that their use of resources affects other clients' access to psychological services.
- Service review or discharge criteria showing ongoing need is reassessed
- Waitlist and triage policy applied transparently
- Records of help given to clients seeking access to funded services
- Sessions continued after goals were met with no review
- Triage order not documented or not applied consistently
