Keeping psychological knowledge, skills and professional behaviour appropriate and current is at the heart of effective, culturally reflective practice. It calls for self-reflection and for taking part in development, service improvement and performance appraisal so capabilities keep growing, and this must go on throughout a psychologist's career as science, technology and society move on.
- Annual learning plan and reflection on development needs
- Performance appraisal or peer review records
- Participation in service improvement activities
- CPD limited to passive attendance with no reflection on practice
- No appraisal or peer review for several years
