Health Practitioner Regulation National Law on the standards library
A registered practitioner (other than one with non-practising registration) undertakes the continuing professional development required by the approved registration standard for their profession. A breach is not an offence but grounds for health, conduct or performance action; the renewal declaration (s 109) confirms completion.
- CPD plan and log for the registration year meeting the hours and activity types in the profession's CPD registration standard
- Certificates or reflective records for each logged activity, kept for audit
- Ahpra audit response where selected
- CPD hours logged without the reflection or activity-type split the standard requires
- CPD record not kept, so an audit cannot be answered
- Practitioner registered in two professions meets only one Board's standard
