Requirement, our statement of the clause

The National Law requires psychologists to notify the Board or Ahpra of certain matters (sections 130 and 141 are cited), for example any restriction an employer places on the services they may provide. Ethical and honest practice means the psychologist: (a) knows these reporting duties; (b) complies with those that apply; and (c) seeks advice from the Board, their indemnity insurer or another relevant body when unsure.

Evidence that typically shows this
  • Records of notices to the Board or Ahpra within the statutory time (for example employer restrictions, charges or convictions, changes in insurance)
  • Annual renewal declarations
  • Record of advice sought about a reporting duty
Common gap to check
  • Employer restriction on practice not reported to the Board
  • Criminal charge disclosed only at renewal rather than within the required time

Completing this worksheet records what your practice holds and where. It does not make a practice compliant or ready for audit, and it is not legal advice.
