Requirement, our statement of the clause

A psychologist's knowledge, skills and professional behaviour must keep developing for as long as they practise. The Board requires psychologists to keep up to date so they stay within the limits of their competence; the National Law requires CPD, and psychologists must know the Board's CPD registration standard and guidelines.

Evidence that typically shows this
  • CPD portfolio for the registration year meeting the Board's CPD registration standard (hours, peer consultation, learning plan)
  • Evidence kept for Ahpra audit (certificates, peer consultation log)
Common gap to check
  • CPD hours short of the standard at renewal
  • Peer consultation hours not logged
  • No learning plan
