Psychologists have responsibilities and rights in any legitimate investigation into their own or another practitioner's conduct, and getting legal advice or advice from their indemnity insurer is recommended. Professional behaviour means the psychologist: (a) cooperates with any legitimate inquiry into their conduct and with complaint procedures that apply to them; (b) gives anyone with a legal right to it the information bearing on an investigation of their own, or another practitioner's, health, conduct or performance; (c) cooperates with legitimate investigations of alleged National Law offences; and (d) under the relevant law, assists the coroner at an inquest or inquiry into a client's death by answering the coroner's enquiries and providing all relevant information.

- Client records withheld from a coroner without lawful grounds
