ss 83 and 83AComply with conditions and undertakings on registrationsource
Requirement, our statement of the clause

Registration may be granted subject to conditions the Board considers necessary or desirable, with a review period, or on undertakings the applicant gives. The practitioner or student complies with every condition and undertaking recorded on the register and certificate; a contravention is not an offence but is unprofessional conduct by definition and grounds for health, conduct or performance action. Conditions can be changed or removed only through the Board processes in ss 125 to 127A.

Evidence that typically shows this
  • Current certificate of registration and register extract showing each condition or undertaking
  • Compliance log for each condition (supervision reports, practice restrictions, drug screening results, chaperone logs) as the condition requires
  • Employer acknowledgement of the conditions and the roster or privileging controls that give effect to them
Common gap to check
  • Employer unaware of a condition because the register was checked only at hire
  • Supervision condition met on paper while the supervisor is rarely on site
  • Practitioner treats an undertaking as less binding than a condition
